The doctors might be fine at this practice, but I never made it that far because their clerical staff was off-putting and rude. The staff members I spoke with gave me the distinct impression that my calls were an inconvenience to them. My experience with them was that they do not return messages left on the Ashburn number on days when that office is closed and the doctor is working in a different office. In my case, they did not even return my calls on the day after a closure, requiring me to call to try to catch them before they left for the day. In addition, their phone menu options are unclear, and it is difficult to get through to speak to an actual person. My family moved to VA from another state earlier this year and needed to switch primary care docs. I made an appointment with this practice and had my doc of 20+ years send them my medical records. A week or so after I canceled the initial appointment due to a medical emergency (end of April), one of their admin people called to let me know they had my records and wanted to know if I still planned to make an appointment. I said I would definitely call within the next few weeks to book an appointment, and she told me she would store my records in their archives in the meantime. When I called 2 weeks later to book the appointment, I was given the runaround re: my records and was finally told they had been shredded and that they have no archives for the records of people who have never been seen by a doctor there. Needless to say, I have moved on to another practice.

Dr. Gogineni really listened to my concerns and didn’t dismiss my S&S. I highly recommend this practice if you want a Doctor that truly cares about the patient. Really good experience and thank you for your time!

Yesterday was my first visit with Dr. Gogineni in her Ashburn office. I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. Very clean and professional office space. Dr. Gogineni saw me promptly. She patiently listened to my concerns and she answered all of my questions thoroughly. This was a routine appointment and I am happy that she is being thorough about my health by giving me referrals to other specialists. I can't wait to meet her again after my bloodwork is completed. I am a little worried about my health so it helps to know that she is a caring professional whom I can trust. I want to work on my weight and I can see she is not a prescription happy doctor which is a good thing. She has encouraged me to work on my eating habits first to see if that may help. It's awesome that she is familiar with Indian cuisine because it's not so easy to count the calories with Indian food unlike with American food.
