This is a hard one for me to review to be honest, I am of a mixed mind.
The nurses and Physical Therapy were very good. It is very clear that they only want the best for the patient and we fought very hard to get as much PT as possible. They showed much patience when needed, came up with unique strategies for each case, and set expectations accordingly.
The business of Encompass is quite horrible (entirely offsetting any gains by the nurses and PT). It is clear that their priority is the relationship with the insurance companies and Encompass' profit margins. The patient care is a VERY DISTANT second to trying to maximizing their profits. Case managers were very difficult to get a hold of and routinely did not return communications. When we did communicate they were always looking to blame other people and they took zero responsibility for anything. In my case, my insurance company disagreed with the Encompass doctors recommendation of care. Encompass was not willing to step up and own the judgement of the doctor. They immediately caved to the insurance company and refused to fight for the patient.
The PT is very good but you need to be very mindful that this organization is 100% a for profit organization and the patients needs will always take a backseat to their profits. If you are looking for a rehab that will help you navigate your insurance company and get the best care possible then this is NOT the place for you.

My mother in law has been at Encompass for a few weeks, and the team of admin, doctors, nurses, PT and OT, have been amazing. I am so impressed with the level of care, attention to detail and most importantly communication. What a great facility.

The facilities and staff are quite good - but the food was awful. It didn't just taste bad, but smelled bad, too - and was usually NOT what I ordered.

I applied for the position of Records Specialist several months ago, and I got an interview by two employers. Afterwards, I got a tour of the whole facility. The place was nice, and the employers were very nice. But, when the time came for updates, HR was supposed to email me. After a while, I had to call the employer, who told me they chose someone else. I was very disappointed.
